Prep Reflections

Friday 27th November!

Today I figured out more and more strategies to make macrame.

Again Kyra isn't here.

when people struggle on their own, they are just in the dark around the corner for the light, the light is when your project succeeds.

In every job or every project, there are always things that are easy and things that are hard.

There isn't an experience or new thing to learn that won't have a little bit of difficulty.

ROSES & THORNS

Roses is a highlight of your project, something you loved about it.  Thorns are something that you found difficult or you disliked.

ROSES

I never thought there would be something so interesting about cheap string, the string that can create beautiful hand made bracelets.

THORNS

It was definitely a struggle with not having help from Kyra & it took me a while to find a strategy that actually works.

If there was one thing I could change, would be choosing a more simple project or given more time.

PREP!

 Today Friday 20th November

I created a doc with false and real money to spot the differences they both have, so I could see what I could add and couldn't add to make the money different to make it obvious that they aren't the same.

Reasoning that I am making false money is because we need to sell our product on market day. Then so no money is taken, You pay the amount of money you want to spend and you get false money in return. You go and spend and buy what you please with your false money.

My product...  My product is macrame making, mainly bracelets. In the making, the bracelets have been difficult to produce, but I will eventually get there.

Why I picked macrame... My inspiration for my product was from Mrs Mcholloc Because in the beginning Kyra and I were going to create mini pot plants. But that was too simple. Mrs Mcholloc gave us a challenge and I agree that we deserved a good challenge so we decided to go along with her idea and create macrame. Mrs Mcholloc gave Kyra and my good advice and we learned about different techniques her daughter India used to use back when she made hanging macrame. So Mrs Mcholloc is my inspiration and I picked Macrame because of her.

Struggles I faced... Kyra hasn't been her majority of this class and I don't think there is a reason for that.  The second struggle was not even knowing how to make macrame, but I finally found a video of how to make simple macrame as the other videos were too advanced for my category.
